We are going to hold a special day to send messages of hope and encouragement to the families. If you would like to make a monetary contribution under the name of Smokey Drive Elementary to his cause, you can send it in during this time as well. All donations will be matched by the Red Cross. This special day will be held on Monday, June 13th.

It is that time when we like to send out a reminder to check hair for lice and nits. Nits look like white dots stuck to the strands of hair. They look like dandruff but do not flake away. They are difficult to remove from the hair. Taking a thorough check each night over the next few weeks is recommended. A simple treatment, found at the drugstore, will help to control any infestation. The student can return to school after they have been treated.
